Scholarships

Welcome to Scholarships at Brockport

The scholarship application process for the 2017-18 academic year opened Nov. 15 and will remain open until Feb. 15, 2017. Current students, please watch for more information on deadlines in colorful posters, newspaper ads in the student newspaper, The Stylus, and tent cards in dining facilities.

In December, the Scholarship office will join with Career Services to present a workshop on how to prepare to complete your scholarship application. This session will include information on how and when to request a reference from a faculty member, and suggestions on writing your essay. It will also explain the similarities between completing your scholarship application, and applying for a job or graduate school.

Brockport Scholarships

For the 2016-17 academic year, the Brockport Foundation provided more than $400,000 in scholarship assistance to 425 students. That amount is expected to be nearly $500,000 for the 2017-18 academic year. The Brockport Foundation manages scholarships and awards created through the generosity of alumni, friends, emeriti, faculty and staff. These scholarships recognize incoming or current students with campus-wide or departmental awards.

The Brockport Foundation also supports awards made through the Extraordinary Academic Scholarship Program, which makes awards based on a student’s high school grades, class rank and scores on national achievement tests.
